WASS visit the Gulf Aviation Academy

Following the announcement of a Strategic Partnership with Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) and Westminster Aviation Security Services, Joanna Fowler Head of Managed Services and Stuart Gilbert Head of Technology Division visited GAA’s Training Facility and were hosted by Capt. Dhaffer AlAbbasi Chief Executive Officer and Yousif Hasan ATSC coordinator.

During their visit Stuart Gilbert and Joanna Fowler were given a guided tour of GAA’s state of the art training facility including the impressive flight simulator machines.

In February 2019 GAA launched ambitious plans to expand their business which included the purchase of a fourth Airbus 320 Full flight Simulator (FFS). GAA now has 1 x A330 Flight simulators and 4 x Airbus 320 based in Bahrain in addition to 1 x EMB 170/190 located in Amsterdam.

In a recent press release the GAA Chief Executive Officer said 2019 expansion plans are in line with strategic objectives to provide the best flight training services and modern training tools, not only in Bahrain but in the entire region. During 2018, GAA trained 6,522 agents consisting of pilots, crew, engineers, security personnel and other aviation personnel, 92 percent of those trainees were from outside Bahrain.

GAA is positioned to become the future of high quality professional aviation training in Bahrain and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. Offering a comprehensive range of structured training programmes and courses for all aviation personnel in the industry.
