Westminster Group holds its annual Fireworks Party in aide of the Katherine House Hospice

Westminster have once again held its annual Bonfire and Fireworks party at its Corporate Headquarters demonstration grounds, a fund raising event in aide of the Katherine House Hospice, to which the entry, refreshments and the fireworks display, was free to the public! The event took place on the evening of Friday 2nd November which was a glorious evening!

The £270 proceeds for the Katherine House Hospice, a local care service to support for those people with life-threatening illnesses, were raised through donations throughout the evening. Hot food, a wide-range of drinks and a spectacular fireworks display was supplied by Westminster and once again the event was a great success.

Peter Fowler, Chief Executive Officer, commented at the end of the evening, "I am proud to see once again a good attendance from staff, suppliers, customers and friends this year. Over a hundred and fifty adults and children attended this year’s fund raising event and I extend my thanks to all the Westminster staff for making this such an enjoyable evening for us all. I think this has been the best year yet and the weather was perfect, clear skies, no wind and an unusually warm evening for November".

Westminster also held a raffle later in the evening with a large selection of prizes that were generously donated by suppliers, friends and families of Westminster.

The celebrations went on until the late evening, during which a huge bonfire kept the attendees warm. Visitors enjoyed a choreographed fireworks display to a musical soundtrack whilst they ate a good selection of hot food and drink.

Unfortunately we will have to wait until next year to repeat this entertaining most popular event!
